Privacy notice
Test version. Last updated October 8, 2026.
Draft. This describes how the EMARU test version works today. It is not final legal text and will be reviewed before public release.
Who we are
EMARU is a product of Callume Information Technology Services. Contact: support@emaruapp.cc.
What the app stores about you
- Your first name, as you typed it, and the family you joined.
- Your most recent location and battery level. Each update replaces the one before it, so we do not keep a location trail.
- The alerts you send: the type (emergency, heads-up, check-in, walk, "I'm here"), any note you wrote, the location at that moment, the time, and who replied.
- A push token for your phone, so alerts can reach you.
Who can see it
- People in your family can see your last known location, battery and the alerts you send to them.
- We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
- We do not use your information to build an advertising profile.
Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts our servers and database.
- Google Firebase delivers push notifications.
- Google Maps shows the map on your phone.
How long we keep it
In the test version, alerts are kept so the app can show history. Before public release we will set an automatic deletion period and publish it here. Until then, you can ask us to delete everything about you at any time.
Your choices
- You can sign out on your phone at any time.
- Location is only sent while the app is open in this version.
- Email support@emaruapp.cc to see or delete your data.
Important limit
EMARU alerts the family members you chose. It does not contact emergency services.
